How the Window Anomaly works

Follow these steps the moment you see the distorted red text at the window:
- Read the distorted red text at the window — that is the cue.
- Move to the red EMERGENCY button beside the window.
- Press the button to close the emergency shutter immediately.
- Wait for the threat to clear before reopening the window to serve real customers.
Counter: Window Fries Shooter
The Window Fries Shooter is an auto-turret aimed at the window that handles the same threat automatically. It must be kept loaded with ammo; otherwise it cannot fire when the anomaly appears. Recognise the cue
The crawler never spawns on its own — it appears when a window customer has been ignored long enough to climb through the window. A customer at the window muttering garbled red text while your vision blurs is the cue. If it has already climbed through, you will see it crawling across the shop floor toward you. Do not serve it.
Done when: You have identified the threat before it reaches you.
Go outside and wait it out
Step out of the shop and let the crawler leave. Once it is gone, re-enter through the front door.
Done when: The crawler has left the building and you are back inside.
Or shoot it
A Cross or Gun removes it. A loaded Window Fries Shooter kills it on sight, which is why keeping that turret stocked is worth the slots.
Done when: The crawler is destroyed and the window is clear again.
Stop it escalating next time
The prevention is the same counter as the base anomaly: press the red EMERGENCY button the moment the garbled text appears, before the customer can climb through.
Done when: The shutter is down and no crawler ever entered the shop.
