Counter: sprint inside

The Giant cannot be killed or blocked. As soon as the warning appears, run back into the shop and stay there until the boss passes. Finishing every outdoor job before 8:00 PM and then sheltering inside is the only reliable counter, because the boss targets anyone still outdoors.

Counter if you are caught outside

If the warning fires while you are still outside, dodge by moving during the gaps between beams:

  1. Watch the ground for red circles — those mark where a beam is about to land.
  2. Move to the safe spots where the circles turn green.
  3. Relocate during the window between volleys rather than during a beam.
  4. Take the Walk Faster perk (+15% movement speed) if it rolls; it makes a noticeable difference when dodging The Giant's projectiles.
